There are now two football teams using the pitches; Cotes Park FC and Leabrooks Corner FC. We are looking to develop a junior football team.Somerlea Junior School will now be able to play on the redeveloped area, and the Infant School if they wish. Somercotes Leisure Development Group funded the redevelopment of the land in partnership with Amber Valley Borough Council. These are the old school sports pitches which had not been used for a number of years, and are affectionately known as the Acorn Ground.
