Derbyshire County Council has launched a new small grants fund, Community Action Grants.  Local community groups, clubs and social enterprises can apply for grants of up to £1,000 to help them set up and run projects that will improve life in their area. 

Groups can apply anytime until 14th December 2012, and grants will be awarded every three months.
