Can anyone tell us about the Somercotes School Orchestra pictured here outside the Old School House on Nottingham Road?   

We don’t know approximately when the picture was taken, and we wonder which wealthy benefactor provided all the musical instruments. There are more than 50 children in the picture, so that’s a lot of instruments!
