On Friday 6 December 2019 we were once again entertained by the excellent carol singing of Somercotes Girl Guides, Brownies and Rainbows. 

They were ably accompanied by Heage Band who also played an additional selection of traditional tunes.    A surprise visitor this year was Father Christmas (!), who distributed selection boxes to the children. 

The donations raised, including the Chairmans contribution  meant that £300 was able to be shared between  Breast Cancer and Prostate cancer charities.  The evening concluded with refreshments provided by the Parish Council at the Village Hall.
