Quality Parish Council status
by Parish Council on Friday 29 October 2021
Each year the Council invites local organisations to apply for grant funding to support various activities and projects which benefit the parish.
Somercotes Brownies & Guides Receiving Their Grant
Somercotes Parish Council welcomed successful applicants to receive their grant awards at a ceremony on the 12th November 2021 in the Village Hall. The total amount of grants awarded was £5250*
Recipients were; Phoenix Bowls Club, Birchwood Methodist Church, Somercotes Brownies, Somercotes Ladies Group, Somercotes Local History Society, Somercotes Walking Group, Somercotes Scout Group, Somercotes Beavers, 1st Somercotes Guides, Derbyshire Unemployed Workers Centre, Somercotes Local History Group, Chernobyl Childrens Lifeline and Derbyshire Childrens Holiday Centre.
*A small amount of awards have still to be announced.
